Description
Projections of road weather from the road weather model RoadSurf, driven by HCLIM38-ALADIN regional climate data and global climate models EC-Earth and GFDL followig the RCP 8.5 climate change scenario for the periods 1986-2005, 2041-2060, and 2081-2100 (monthly averages from hourly resolution) in a 12x12km grid. The analysed domain is northern Europe, including Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Denmark. The model is calibrated to Finland.
For model evaluation, an ERA-Interim reanalysis run was done as well for the years 1999-2018 for the full domain (which includes northern and central Europe, as well as UK and Iceland) of northern and central Europe. Road surface temperatures for all periods can be retrieved for the full domain.
