Description

This dataset contains measurements from eight Doppler lidars and one ceilometer operating at Falkenberg, Germany, during the FESSTVal Campaign in 2022, which was used in the manuscript (Pentikäinen et al. 2026, submitted to AMT).

Table of contents

9 archive files (in tar.gzipped format are provided), one for each instrument. Each archive contains daily files which are in the self-describing netCDF format  (https://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/).

The ceilometer provides vertical profiles of attenuated backscatter coefficient at 15 m range resolution and 15 s temporal resolution.

The Doppler lidars provide vertical profiles of Doppler velocity, intensity and attenuated backscatter coefficient (uncorrected) at 30 m resolution in range and 2-30 seconds in temporal resolution. The instruments were operated pointing vertically and at 5 degree elevation from horizontal (85 degree from zenith).
