Data and python codes for the manuscript "Signal, noise and skill in sub-seasonal forecasts: the role of teleconnections" by Karpechko et al.

  • 1. Finnish Meteorological Institute

Description

The data set includes fields from control and nudged experiments by ECMWF model described in Karpechko et al. (2025) together with corresponding ERA5 verification fields. The fields are bi-weekly averaged (weeks 1-2, 3-4, 5-6) sea level pressure, 2-metre temperature and total precipitation, and weekly mean (weeks 1 to 6) NAO and PNA indexes. The python codes can be used to reproduce the results of the paper. Reference: Karpechko, A., Butler, A., and Vitart F.
