The zip file "fortran_programs_and_GrADS_scripts.zip", includes fortran programs and GrADS scripts used in producing the results discussed in the manuscript: Räisänen, P., Merikanto, J., Makkonen, R., Savolahti, M., Kirkevåg, A., Sand, M., Seland, Ø., and Partanen, A.-I.: Mapping the dependence of BC radiative forcing on emission location and season, Atmos. Chem. Phys., submitted, 2022. ************************************************************************ Five directories are included: fortran data GrADS_scripts ctl_files figures ----------- 1. fortran ----------- This directory contains a total of eight fortran programs used in generating the results. See the README file for this directory for more details. --------- 2. data --------- Most of the files in this directory are produced using the fortran programs mentioned above, although a couple of files produced by post-processing scripts for NorESM1-Happi data are also included. The files are either in NetCDF or GrADS (direct access binary) format. See the README file for the directory for more details. ----------------- 3. GrADS_scripts ----------------- This directory contains the scripts used to plot the figures in the article and in the Supplementary material based on the GrADS formatted (.grads) files in the directory "data". The figures are plotted using the GrADS (Grid Analysis and Display System) software (http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/); all figures are in "portrait" mode. Also included is a subdirectory "auxiliary_scripts" that contains some additional GrADS scripts needed for the figures. See the README file for this directory for more details. ------------- 4. ctl_files ------------- This directory contains control files for GrADS. The control files are needed for opening the data files with GrADS, and they define the coordinate system and variable names. ------------ 5. figures ------------ This directory contains the figures produced using the GrADS scripts (in .png format).
